4PS by Hilti develops ERP software for construction, GWW and installation engineering, based on Microsoft Dynamics 365. The software supports processes such as project monitoring, document management, planning, service and financial administration - and moves with technological developments such as AI.
"AI is now in our software, but that does not automatically mean that everyone uses it," says Matthijs van Dijk, product manager at 4PS. "The technology is there, but the challenge is in adoption. That's why we conduct strategic sessions with customers: where are you, where do you want to go, and how can AI help with that?"
According to Ewout Meijer, technology strategist at Microsoft, it is important that companies do not view AI as a separate project. "We see five success factors: strategy, technology, adoption, governance and experimentation. Companies that make a conscious effort to address these are demonstrably more successful."
Van Dijk sees that, in practice, AI often starts with small but telling questions. "A customer asked, 'Can I just ask what the status of my project is?' So you can. But the real gain is in the follow-up question: what if your system warns you before something goes wrong? That's no longer future science. AI helps you not only look back, but think ahead."
During Digibouw, 4PS will share insights from practice: what works, what doesn't yet, and how you can start with AI as an organization - without immediately changing everything. "Above all, we want to have the conversation," says Van Dijk. "Not about what will one day be possible, but about what is already possible now. Digibouw is the perfect place for that."
